    Simple Future

    Sub + will/shall + V1

    I will teach English.

    Future Continuous

    Sub + will/shall + be + V1 + ing form

    I will be teaching English.

    Future Perfect

    Sub + will have + V3

    I will have taught English.

    Future Perfect Continuous

    Sub + will/shall + have been+ ing

    I shall have been teaching.

    Future simple tense is used to express

    The simple future tense is used to express an action which takes place in future.

    Example:

    I shall meet him tomorrow.

    They will sell his car.

    NOTE:

    Will is used with second and third persons (He, she it, and they)

    Be + going to is used to express the likelihood of the action and intension.

    It is going to rain (Likelihood)

    He is going to build a house.

    Future continuous tense is used to express

    The future continuous tense represents an action going on at some point in future time

    I shall be waiting for you then.

    When I go home, my children will be reading.

    The future continuous tense is also used to indicate future events that are planned

    We shall be staying in Mumbai till Sunday.

    Future perfect tense is used to express

    The future perfect tense is used to represent as action which will be completed by a certain future time. The tense often occurs with “by” and “before”.

    • By next week I shall have been here for ten years.
    • The will have reached Hyderabad before the strike begins.

    Future perfect continuous tense is used to express

    The future perfect continuous tense indicates an action which is in progress over a period of time that will end in the future.

    • By next month we shall have been working in this college for nine years.
    • They will have been living here for five years by the end of the month.
